        EXPLORE OF VARAMHALAKSHMI POOJA

As we know varamhalakshmi pooja is one of the hindu fest is celebrated on a Friday in the most auspicious month of "sravana".

The festival is primarily observed by married women, who perform rituals and fast to pray for their own well-being and for the health and prosperity of their husbands and families. They believe that worshipping Lakshmi on this day is the same as worshipping the eight aspects of Lakshmi, known as Ashtalakshmi, who represent different forms of wealth, love, peace, fame, strength, and contentment.

 Some rituals that are performed during the festival include:

Decorations

Drawing a rangoli, decorating with flowers, and scrubbing and covering a pot with sandalwood    paste

On the day of the fest ofter take the bath have put the rangoli infront of the home around 5:30 to 6:00                                                                                 clock am

 Preparing for Pooja

 Waking up early, cleaning the house, bathing, and purifying the puja area with holy water. Then,placing   a photo or idol of Lakshmi on a platform, decorating her with new clothes, jewelry, kumkum,   and   flowers, and offering her akshat, chandan, kumkum, and sindur.

           Kalasha Sthapana

On the day of the pooja,a kalasha(a sacred pot) is filled with water,adorned with fresh mango leaves,and a coconut is placed on top of it.This kalasha symbolizes the goddess.The kalasha is decorated with flowers,turmeric,kumkum (vermilion),and a saree draped around it to symbolize the goddess.

 

             ARRANGING FRUITS & POOJA THINGS

 For lakshmi pooja we have to arrange all different fruits like (apple,orange,pineapple,graphs, guava, cucumber, pomogronate) and sweets, special dishes like (obbattu, payasa) preparing for pooja. all pooja materials like (sandle stics, karpoora, sambrani, Coconout , bangles, ) all these things has to keep for puja.

           DURING POOJA

 The kalasha was decorated by saree, jewels, and placed a Lakshmi face on a kalasha .and decorates with kumkum, chandan, and placed some money infornt of lakshmi kalasha. and all fruits, flowfers, all pooja materials placed infront of kalasha and Lakshmi kalasha was decorated by banana leaves also it was two side of lakshmi kalasha.

The main pooja involves offering prayer to the kalasha around 6:00 AM , For this pooja we use  to           inviting other womens and relatives to participate in the pooja to get blessings.Before start the puja have tying Kankana to our hands , it prepared by ouself with flowers after tying this can start the pooja.

 GIVING KUMKUM AND CHANDAN TO OTHERS WOMENS

After completing the pooja we have to give the kumkum and chandan to the womens . It is one of our cultuture of the fest. after giving this we will give flowers to womens and sweets , after that we will invite them to dinner . For this puja we will preparing varity of foods and sweet items. these all things we will share with other womens. It is a one of the traditional culture to gathers all womens to puja.
